Wir waren 4 Familien und verbrachten einen unvergesslichen Urlaub auf Lefkada! Die Villa Margaux verfügt über viele Annehmlichkeiten! Eine geräumige Küche, schöne und saubere Zimmer! Beim Frühstück konnten wir jeden Tag im Schatten den herrlichen - fast kitschigen Ausblick aufs Meer genießen! Jeden Abend waren traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge zu beobachten, die genossen wir dann gemütlich bei einem Achterl Wein auf der gemütlichen Lounge! Auch der Pool war ein Traum!

Die Villa wurde auch zwischendurch gereinigt, die beiden Hausbesorger standen uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und gaben uns viele wertvolle Tipps!

Ein unvergesslicher Urlaub! Jederzeit wieder!

Villa op schitterende lokatie. vlakbij strand en toch rustig. Iedere avond genieten van prachtige zonsondergang. We waren er ruim 2 weken met 2 families maar zowel binnen als buiten veel ruimte om terug te trekken of juist gezamenlijke activiteiten te ondernemen. Sterke aanrader!

Thank you for the lovely stay at Margaux Villa. The view is fabulous as is the decor of the villa. We really relaxed and would come back every year just heavenly. You can't get enough of the beautiful villa. We would also like to thank Laurent and Benedict for their friendly hospitality.

Eine herrliche Lage über dem Strand von Kathisma.

Vermieter und Mitarbeiter sehr Hilfsbereit bei der Anreise und Betreuung.Wochenmitte wurde die ganze Villa und der Pool gereinigt.Sogar frische Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden gewechselt.Super Service bekommt man nicht überall.

Auto oder Motorrad zumEinkaufen und zum Strand erforderlich.

Wir waren 11Pers.und alle schwärmen von dieser großartigen Villa.Ganz besonderen Dank an Francis und Ilse fuer die Hilfestellung bei unseren Notfall.

It really is better than you can imagine from the photos. House was great. Pool was perfect and the view just amazing. Lots of space and very private. The owners and the local caretakers were SO helpful, without being intrusive in any way. My only issue is that while you can walk down to the beach, it’s a rather a hike back up! So we ended up driving more than We anticipated. But we did love the beach and the delicious meals we had at the local tavernas on the beach. All In All, it was heaven!

Wir haben unsere Ferienwoche in Ihrem Haus sehr genossen. Das Haus war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet, alles hat einwandfrei funktioniert.
Aber das Schönste war für uns der wundervolle Blick auf das Meer! Das war einmalig!
Vielen Dank auch für den freundlichen Empfang und das nette Willkommenspaket.

Nächstes Jahr wird es für uns wohl nichts mit einem Urlaub in Griechenland werden, aber wir können diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und geraten bei unseren Erzählungen zuhause immer wieder ins Schwärmen...

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at Villa Margaux!

The villa is perfectly situated close to the beach and town only a short drive away.

We were 3 sisters with families staying in the villa, and it was a perfect spot for fun dinners and quality time with family. 

We enjoyed morning walks to the beach for a swim in the beautiful clear ocean.

We loved the outdoor area and had lots of fun reading, using the great pool, playing board games etc.

Watching the paragliders everyday was very thrilling, so most of our group tried it and loved it! The younger part of the group enjoyed the beach bars close by.  We all loved the fantastic restaurant and cocktail bar Rachi in Exanthia a 10 min drive away, what a hidden and fun gem. 

The view of the ocean, from early morning quiet sunrise to amazing sunsets and night views of the moon and stars was top of the list amazing!!

We had lots of nice half or full day trips to the rest of the island, the best being a boat trip with papanikolis boat cruise.

The villa is well maintained and housekeeping was very attentive and helpful.

My family and two others spent the most amazing two weeks in Villa Margaux (12 of us).  

Francis and Yves could not have been more accommodating and responded quickly to any questions/ requests (not that we had many!).   The villa is very much designed around outdoor living and we spent most evenings having drinks on the terrace followed by a nice meal made from local ingredients in the nicely equipped kitchen.

The children spent so much time in the nicely sized pool which is cleaned twice a week and is large enough to swim in for exercise, should you wish. There are lots of sunbeds to lie on in order to benefit from the sun and the spectacular views over Kathisma. Every night we were treated to the most perfect sunset and we never grew bored of watching the sun gradually drop down the sky, whilst turning bright orange and creating the most amazing backdrop to really treasured family photos!   

All the rooms were well appointed and had a bathroom for ever room and air conditioning for making going to sleep very comfortable, they are cleaned with new linen twice a week. 

Lefkada is wonderful island and Kathisma beach was great for my morning run and it was certainly a nice challenge getting back up the steep hill afterwards, however,  we really enjoyed the quieter Agios Nikitas (2km away), if you get a small inflatable boat and swim round the rocks to the left, you can find a secluded quiet beach.  We spent two hours, in mid-August, without seeing another person (as you can imagine beaches can get busy that time of year!).  We would also recommend going on a boat tour to see great beaches and secluded spots, but, choose wisely.  We spent slightly more and went on a small boat (Agios DImitrios – max 25 people) and didn’t regret it when we saw other boats with people packed in like sardines. 

In summary, Lefkada is charming and you could not ask for a better base from which to explore the island by staying at Villa Margaux.  As Francis said “I have found my piece of paradise” and he was not wrong.

Die Villa ist wirklich traumhaft. Wunderschöner Außenbereich. Schöne Zimmer . Traumhafter Ausblick. Zum Strand sollte ein Roller bzw. Auto vorhanden sein. 

Francis wohnt gleich neben an , ca. 100 Meter Luftlinie . Er hilft sofort wenn irgendetwas wäre (hatten Stromausfall), lässt den Besuchern aber absolut Ihre Ruhe damit man absolut entspannen kann. Waren zu 12t im Haus und wir würden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft.

We rented the villa on the base of the site pictures and were pleasently surprised to find reality being even better than the pictures.

The house was completly renovated, very well equiped and confortable.

Fantastic pool terrasse with incredibly beach view.

We had a great Holiday.

We stayed at Villa Margaux for 8 days in August 16 and had a wonderfully relaxing stay. We were two families with teenage kids and so 10 in total though the villa comfortably sleeps 12. Location was perfect being far enough away from the main tourist locations to be quiet enough whilst everything near at hand for shops, restaurants and other activities. The best thing about the villa - and what it has clearly been designed for - is outdoor living and that is exactly what we did. There is a huge patio area for relaxing by the (large) pool, sunbathing, sitting/sleeping in the shade and of course al fresco drinking and dining. There is also a large outdoor BBQ area complete with separate pizza oven.The villa is perched on the mountainside above a large (though very busy beach) with 180 degree views out to sea and as it is west facing you get the most amazing sunsets every night. Perfect for star gazing by the way too. The villa is very private and quiet (so long as the music from the beach bars far below isn't cranked up to full blast!). You will also get to see lots of paraglider as they silently and gracefully pass overhead on their way down to the beach landing sites and we all had a go which was certainly a highlight of the trip. The villa owners, Francis and Ilse, live next door and were both very helpful both in advance and during our stay. Though they were totally unobtrusive and left us to it, they were also always on hand if we wanted them to help deal with any issues that might crop up (we didn't have any though) or to offer advice on local activities and restaurants. The whole villa has recently been renovated with extra en suites, air con etc and was immaculately clean throughout. So all in all, a wonderful and highly recommended place to stay if you are heading to this very relaxing island. Regards, The Wrigley and Holden Families

A beautiful villa on a beautiful island. The owner is close by and is very helpful with any queries you might have with regard to places to eat or visit. Having just returned from a two week family holiday would highly recommend staying here. Lovely restaurants close by and a short distant from the beach. The pool at the villa is well maintained and the children enjoyed every minute spent in it. The villa is very well equipped and well maintained. Would certainly return. Highly recommend.
